The project is an interactive installation that transforms the initiation of the everyday,
and slightly absurd, toilet space into a stage for dynamic visual expression.
Through the integration of a responsive fountain system, the shape of its water
changes with the proximity of an object or creature, prompting a re-evaluation of
the function of the space that is often overlooked or simplified. I am inspired by
Heidegger's notion of ‘world-revealing’, which reveals the significance of everyday
environments, where even hidden environments can become meaningful places
through human presence and interaction. According to Heidegger, humans directly
participate in the creation of the world by capturing and understanding it, giving it
meaning and structure. By making everyday spaces engaging and reflective, I hope
to challenge conventional views of what spaces for people through this project.
